What’s new in EMUI?
Honor recently released the latest Android 10 operating system update for Honor 10 Lite in India. The company is now pushing for the globally stable Android 10-based EMUI 10 update for the Honor 20i smartphone.
The latest Honor 20i Android 10 update increases the EMUI version number to V10.0.0.158. It’s about 3.58 GB in size, reports Huawei. The update includes Android security updates as well as updated system security and general Android 10 features from December 2019.
The update will be carried out gradually. It may, therefore, take some time to reach all Honor 20i units. Users receive a push notification to download the update. Alternatively, you can view the update by setting up the phone -> System & Updates -> Software updates -> Check for updates -> Download and install.
Honor 20i offers a variety of the latest features for static updates for Android 10. These include gesture control, system-wide dark topics, live subtitles, improved functions for intelligent answers and much more. Google also improves security and privacy with Android 10.
The EMUI 10 changelog also includes a number of additions to the device, including a visual revision with minimal user interface issues. It uses the Morandi color palette for a light yet rich look. It also wants to improve GPU Turbo, media playback improvements, phone clones and more.
Honor 20i features, specifications
The Honor 20i has a 6.21-inch IPS screen with a resolution of FHD + (1080 × 2340 pixels) and a display notch. The smartphone is equipped with a Hisilicon Kirin 710 SoC with Mali-G51 MP2 GPU. The device also has a 3,400 mAh battery with a 10 W charging station and fingerprint scanner.
The device has a triple camera configuration on the back with a 24-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front has a 32-megapixel camera sensor with an f / 2.0 aperture. Connectivity options on the Honor 20i include WiFi dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 4G LTE and MicroUSB 2.0 port for charging.
